Beginner Classes

PARENT & ME

Co-ed ages 14 mONTHS – 3 yEARS OLD

Introduce your little one to the magical world of gymnastics through our exciting Parent & Me class! This delightful experience is designed for children to discover forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands – all while enjoying baby-style gymnastics alongside their supportive parent. The class is filled with laughter and exploration as toddlers learn running, jumping, and develop spatial awareness. Captivated by colorful mats of all shapes and sizes, our Parent & Me class includes fun circuits, swings, foam pit play, trampoline adventures, and interactive games. Our experienced coaches will guide both parent and child on this thrilling journey of discovery and bonding.

Beginner Classes

TINY TUMBLERS

Co-ed ages 3-4

For our tiny tumblers, aged 3 to 4, we’ve crafted an enchanting class that introduces them to the fundamentals of gymnastics. With a focus on forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands, our Tiny Tumblers will also learn running, jumping, and develop spatial awareness. Captivated by colorful mats and guided through fun circuits, this class lays the foundation for a lifelong love of gymnastics. Our experienced coaches add a touch of magic as they lead our aspiring gymnasts through swings, foam pit play, trampoline delights, and engaging games. Join us in this wonderful world of discovery and growth!

GIRLS ROLLERS

Girls ages 5-7

Calling all young adventurers aged 5 to 7 – welcome to Rollers, an entry-level class that introduces the thrilling world of gymnastics! Our skilled coaches will guide your child through the fundamentals of floor exercises, beam, vault, and bars. Each class includes time for strength training and the use of trampolines, ropes, and the foam pit. With a focus on fun and fitness, our gymnasts develop essential skills while embracing the joy of gymnastics. Rollers participate in three events per week in a circuit and station format, ensuring an active and enjoyable learning experience. The average gymnast to coach ratio is 6 to 1, and classes are offered throughout the week.

GIRLS handstanders

Girls ages 8+  

Designed for older gymnasts just starting their gymnastics journey, Handstanders is an entry-level class that introduces the fundamentals of vault, bars, beam, and floor exercises. In addition to strength training, gymnasts enjoy using the rocket trampoline, ropes, and other specialized equipment. Classes follow a circuit and station format, providing an active and fun environment for learning age-appropriate gymnastics skills. The average gymnast to coach ratio is 8 to 1, and classes are available throughout the week.

Welcome to our Boys Beginner class, specially designed to familiarize students with boys’ specific equipment and skill training. This class combines a fun and light-hearted environment with obstacle courses, constructive event games, and a structured curriculum geared towards the essentials of gymnastics. For those new to the sport, we offer training tailored to each student’s comfort level, allowing them to learn at their own pace. Older boys have the chance to try out fun skills in a safe environment while also learning basic acrobatics. Concepts of athletics are introduced through friendly competitions, strength training, and student leadership exercises.

GIRLS cartwheelers

Girls ages 5-7

For our skilled young gymnasts who have mastered the requirements of previous classes, welcome to Cartwheels! Designed for ages 5 to 7, this class takes gymnasts to an intermediate level in vault, bars, beam, and floor exercises. Strength training and core gymnastics elements are also emphasized. Gymnasts will participate in three events per week in a circuit and station format, ensuring an active and enjoyable learning experience on age and skill-appropriate gym equipment. To join Cartwheels, gymnasts must have achieved all skills from the Rollers skill sheet.

For advanced to intermediate classes like Gliders, Cartwheelers, and Backbenders, students must enroll in a beginner’s class and successfully demonstrate the required skills on the skills test. Similarly, those with prior gymnastics experience should sign up for a beginner’s class to undergo evaluation and a skill test to determine the appropriate class placement.

GIRLS backbenders

Girls ages 8+

Backenders is the intermediate-level class for older gymnasts who have mastered the requirements of previous classes. With a focus on vault, bars, beam, and floor exercises, gymnasts will also explore strength training and core gymnastics elements. This class follows a circuit and station format, providing an active and enjoyable environment for learning on age and skill-appropriate gym equipment. To join Backenders, gymnasts must have achieved all skills from the Rollers skill sheet and be at least 8 years old.

For advanced to intermediate classes like Gliders, Cartwheelers, and Backbenders, students must enroll in a beginner’s class and successfully demonstrate the required skills on the skills test. BOYS intermediate

Welcome to Boys Intermediate at CountrySide Gymnastics! This class is tailored for boys aged 8 and above, who have established a solid gymnastics foundation and are ready to reach new heights. Our focus is on mastering the art of gymnastics, with a curriculum that includes advanced skills on vault, pommel horse, high bar, parallel bars, and floor. Under the guidance of seasoned coaches, our gymnasts engage in specialized training to enhance core strength, power, and flexibility – vital elements that boost performance and reduce injury risks. As the only Boys gymnastics program in Fayetteville, boasting a Boys competitive team, our facility is equipped with comprehensive Boys training and competitive equipment, ensuring an optimal environment for young gymnasts to thrive and excel.

ADVANCED CLASSES

GIRLS gliders

Girls ages 6+

Gliders is our advanced-level class, where gymnasts are invited based on completed skills and individual performance. This class teaches fundamental skills for the compulsory stage of gymnastics, including back hip circles, squat-ons, and more. With a focus on strengthening and skill development, Gliders take part in three events per week in a circuit and station format, ensuring an active and engaging experience on skill-appropriate gym equipment. To join Gliders, gymnasts must have achieved all skills from the Cartwheels or Backenders skill sheet and be at least 6 years old.

For advanced to intermediate classes like Gliders, Cartwheelers, and Backbenders, students must enroll in a beginner’s class and successfully demonstrate the required skills on the skills test. Similarly, those with prior gymnastics experience should sign up for a beginner’s class to undergo evaluation and a skill test to determine the appropriate class placement.
